Laboratory Procedures:


4-Anilinopiperidine (hydrochloride) as a crystalline solid. Stock solutions can be prepared by dissolving 4-anilinopiperidine (hydrochloride) in a selected solvent. 4-Aminopiperidine (hydrochloride) is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, DMSO and dimethylformamide, and is purged with inert gas. The solubility of 4-anilinopiperidine (hydrochloride) in these solvents was about 0.25, 10 and 0.16 mg / ml, respectively.


The stock solution should be further diluted into aqueous buffer or isotonic saline prior to conducting biological experiments. Ensuring residual organic solvents is trivial because organic solvents may have physiological effects at low concentrations. An aqueous solution of 4-aminobenzopiperidine (hydrochloride) free of organic solvent can be prepared by dissolving the crystalline solid directly in an aqueous buffer. Anilinopiperidine (hydrochloride) has a solubility of about 10 mg / ml in PBS (pH 7.2). We do not recommend storing the solution for more than one day.
