Silicon nitride powder of gray color is widely applied in steel-smelting, refractory, abrasion rubber, plastic , ceramic and high temperature sealing industries.

Application:

 

As a new material of modern industry, silicon nitride powder is widely applied in ceramic, refractory, steel smelting, non-ferrous metal metallurgy and rubber industries.

 

1.Silicon nitride is widely applied in non-ferrous smelting industry owing to its excellent anti-corrosion and non-infiltration property.

2.In steel industry, silicon nitride coating can efficiently solve the loss of billet oxidation during the steel billet heat treatment process. Silicate anti-oxidation coating with millimicron size can reduce the mill scale from 3-5% to 0.1% for common hot rolling steel plate and from 1-3% to 0.2% for stainless steel plate.

3.The stemming with silicon nitride will play an effective role in sintering activation. corrosion resistance and division resistance. So when using silicon nitride stemming in furnace body or electric furnace, it can seal the hole of blast furnace well and easy to cut.

4.Silicon nitride has a good application for high-strength hot-rolled HRB400 steel bar. As additive of nitrogen, silicon nitride is used in producing V-level microalloyed ?-grade steel bar with FeV together which makes the steel property better and this is a new kind of alloying technology for HRB400 steel bar.

5.Nitrogen content in silicon nitride per unitmass is only second to boron nitride and its price is relatively lower, so silicon nitride has higher advantage in price and property.

6.Silicon nitride can improve the anti-corrosion, thermal conductivity, wear-resistant property of new kind ceramic and composite materials.

Silicon nitride has good high-temperature stability. Silicon nitride has good corrosion resistance under the acid environment and alkali resistance below 500 degree.
