Hexane

Hexane is an alkane  of six carbon atoms, with the chemical formula C6H14.
 The term may refer to any of the five structural isomers with that formula, or  to a mixture of them. In IUPAC nomenclature, however, hexane is the unbranched  isomer (n-hexane); the other four isomers are named as methylated derivatives  of pentane and butane. IUPAC also uses the term as the root of many compounds  with a line. 

Application

N-Hexane is an organic solvent that has good  tackiness and is commonly used in rubber foods, pharmaceuticals, perfumes,  footwear, tape, ball, grinding, leather, textile, furniture, paint industry, or  diluted or as a cleaning solvent , Or for viscose. (Such as soybean oil,  cottonseed oil, flax), peanuts, safflower, etc ; also for the manufacture of  polymer raw materials; Such as polypropylene, polyethylene.
