The casting process of stainless steel impeller is as follows

1. Moulding: The wax mould (molten mould material cast in “pattern die” and cooled) of the same shape with castings but slightly larger size (in consideration of metal and mould shrinkage) is made;

2. Crusting: The wax mould is covered with fireproof coating, spread with sand and hardened to form a fireproof thin shell;

3. Demoulding: The wax mould with fireproof thin shell is put into 90?±5? hot water; 10-20 minutes later, wax will be melted and float up to the water surface; then, the thin shell can be taken out, cleaned, and air-dried for hours;

4. Roasting: The shell is roasted for two hours under 800-900?±30?;

5. Casting: This process is operated under 600-800?.

Finally, the fireproof shell should be shaken off, and any casting head should be cleaned and removed after the casting is cooled down.
