Vatac Woltman type water meters are accurate in large sizes and widely used in 2" (50mm) to 20" (500mm) sizes for commercial and irrigation uses. Woltman type water meters use water to push the impeller. The impeller rotation speed is in relation to the velocity of water flow. Woltman type water meters generally have a water strainer that can protect the impeller from getting clogged. 

Applications: For measurement of high flows of cold potable water passing through the pipeline.

INSTALLATION

» The meter must be installed with the direction of the flow as indicated by the arrow cast in the meter body.

» A horizontal position with the register face upwards is recommended.

» The meter must have 10 diameters straight pipe ahead of the meter and 5 diameters straight pipe after to insure proper flow through the meter.

» The Waltman Water Meters must be installed in the front and the back of the water meter.
